Choosing The Correct Size:
MEASURE YOUR DOG'S ACTUAL NECK SIZE WHERE THE COLLAR WILL SIT (PREFERABLY WITH A SOFT TAPE). THEN CHOOSE THE SIZE RANGE THAT FITS YOUR DOG'S EXACT NECK MEASUREMENT. IF YOUR DOG'S NECK SIZE IS AT THE END OF A SIZE RANGE, WE RECOMMEND YOU GO WITH THE NEXT SIZE RANGE UP. EXAMPLE 20" NECK YOU SHOULD CHOOSE 19" - 22 1/2" NECK RATHER THEN 17" - 20 1/2" NECK.
*IF IN DOUBT PLEASE CONTACT US AND WE WILL BE HAPPY TO HELP: PLEASE GIVE US YOUR DOG'S NECK MEASUREMENT WHEN CONTACTING US.
BELOW IS HOW WE MEASURE OUR COLLARS:
*HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR NAME PLATE
Your custom name plate is made from Nickel Silver or Brass. It will require maintenance over time to keep it looking brand new.
NICKEL: If your nickel name plate begins to tarnish, use fine steel wool lightly over the top (be careful not to scratch the collar), use a jewelry polishing pad for shine (optional), then lightly dab WD-40 or coconut oil on top.
BRASS: The gold coloring is known to tarnish, or appear dirty, due to chemical reaction caused by air or moisture. This may also cause your name plate to look worn out. If this occurs, simply use a soft cloth to wipe the tag, add Brass Polish and hand buff until you have it looking like new again.
This, like all Pit Bull Gear products, is over the top in materials and workmanship. Every piece is a handmade work of art. I have 4 Pit Bull Gear collars in total, dating back over 10 years, and each one still looks and performs as it did on day 1 - FLAWLESSLY - due in part to the top notch hardware used on all of their products. I have this collar for both of my dogs, in red and chocolate crocodile, and they both look amazing.
My dogs collar come in great. Took a month but the shipping took only 2 days, which for me shows that they want you to get your item fast. What got me into pitbull gear was there harness but once I took a look at there collars I was sold. The collar itself is great quality. Thick leather and strong spikes. They are very pointy which is great defense for the animal.
