A: If your order was placed Monday thru Friday it will be shipped the same day or the day after. If your order was placed on Friday after 2:00pm EST, the order may be shipped on Saturday, if not it will be shipped on Monday. You will receive an e-mail confirmation once your order has shipped.
Q: I Ordered Leather, How Long Until it Ships?
A: Current wait time for leather items to be made is approximately 30 Days. This is an estimate that we work towards without sacrificing the quality of individual craftsmanship that goes into the making of each leather item. Please do not contact us about the status of your order unless it has been at least 30 Days. We promise you it will be worth the wait!!
Q: Are Pit Bull Gear Leather Products Made in the USA?
A: Yes! All of our leather products are made in the USA. We use real 100% Authentic Leather! Our leather hides come from the best quality leather producer in the USA. Those hides are then used to hand craft your leather items as ordered.
Q: What Colors and Styles do you offer for Leather?
A: You can see what we carry here LEATHER COLOR CHART We have access to a lot of different colors/styles, so if you don't see what you want, contact us and we'll see if we can get it.
Q: How do I care for Pit Bull Gear Designer Leather Products (Croc, Gator, Genuine)?
A: If you ordered one of our designer collars, harnesses or leashes (croc, gator, genuine) treat it like an expensive leather purse or jacket. How it is taken care of is how it will look. As with any high quality designer leather you want to keep it from getting wet to a minimum. For dirt, dust, light stains, we recommend you use Never Dull on the hardware. Do this step first and try not to get it on the leather. Then follow that up by using Leather Amore from Bee Natural Leathercare. To apply, use a terry cloth or micro towell to lightly brush a dab across the leather (It's ok to get on the hardware and to get off any never dull you might have gotten on the leather). You never want to rub hard on the leather or the color will start to rub off. Following these steps will help keep your designer leather looking great and lasting a long time!
Q: Are Pit Bull Gear Leather Products Guaranteed?
A: We stand behind our leather products! If you have a manufacturing issue (does not include sizing) with your collar, harness or leash, please contact us and we will go over the issue with you and try and make it right! Most of our repairs are Free. If it is something due to abuse, improper care, chewing, etc. we still might be able to fix it, but will be charged accordingly.
Q: How do I care for a Name Plate?
A: Your custom name plate is made from nickel silver. It will require maintenance over time to keep it looking brand new. Each name plate is hand drawn, etched, oxidized with patina, then shined up! We coat each name plate with WD-40 to add resistance against weather and water. If your name plate begins to tarnish, use fine steel wool lightly over the top (be careful not to scratch the leather), use a jewelry polishing pad for shine (optional), then lightly dab WD-40 or coconut oil on top (be careful not to get it on the leather)
Q: Can I Cancel My Leather Order?
A: If you want to cancel a leather item(s) order, we ask that you do it within 10 days of placing your order. Leather items with Name Plates are subject to a $20 fee for your name plate if it has been made already. *No Exceptions.
Q: I placed an order but the site said that my order was declined, but my bank records show I was still charged. Why?
A: If an order attempt is placed and your credit/debit card is declined for any reason other than insufficient funds the funds are “held” by your financial institution until the transaction in question is settled. Transactions are usually pending for a period of 3-5 business days (depends on the card issuer/ bank).
Q: My order will not go through, but I have the funds. Why?
A: In most cases if a transaction is declined (other then not enough funds) it is because your billing information you are entering does not match perfectly with your credit card. Please verify that the billing address you entered exactly matches the one associated with the credit card. If the credit card is still declined, you may want to call your credit card issuer and check to see if they support AVS filtering.
