Some things you can do to get a puppy to stop biting (teething) you are:
- It is good to get the puppy's focus on something else. You can change their focus and drain their energy, by taking them for a walk or swimming. The give them a chew toy they are allowed to have.
- When the puppy does bite, make a high pitch squeaky noise, much like a puppy would make if they were bit by a sibling. It gets there attention right away and makes them stop, because they do not know what happened. But they know it was something bad, by the sound.
- It is also good to replace your fingers with something that they are allowed to chew in there mouth.
